Development and Facilitation Specialist

Vanessa has worked in child welfare in both non-profit and state service for over 20 years.

Vanessa began working with the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) in 2010. During her time with DCYF, Vanessa worked in several roles including Indian Child Welfare, CPS, CFWS, FAR and Chet.

Vanessa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Eastern Washington University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University as a CWTAP student. She completed her course work in Substance Abuse. She has been working toward her Washington State licensure.

Vanessa is passionate about supporting the most vulnerable populations and their systems through encouragement and kindness.
