Conference Frequently Asked Questions
Registration
Who is eligible to attend?
The content of the conference is for anyone who is a DCYF employee who would benefit from the conference content as appropriate for their role. Conferences focus on these four audiences: supervisors, administrative professionals, area administrators and program managers. If you’re not sure whether it is appropriate for you, ask your supervisor.
Who needs to approve before I sign up?
Your supervisor needs to approve your attendance before you register.
Travel & Lodging
Do I need a DCYF travel authorization form before I go?
If you are traveling for the conference and the distance from your work site to the conference location is 50 miles or more, you must complete a travel authorization form to be approved for lodging. Please also ensure you are following all DCYF travel policy and any division protocol you have for travel.
How will I know my lodging is confirmed?
After you complete the lodging request form (which can be found in the event invite), this will happen:
You will receive an email confirming your lodging request via Smartsheet.
This serves as documentation of your room request.
Your room confirmation will be emailed to you within a month of the event.
This allows for all rooms to be booked through our arranged room block with the hotel.
Do not book your own room with the hotel or work through your travel desk for lodging; it is accounted for in our conference package.
