From the Executive Director

This year, like every year, has been shaped by change — both expected and unforeseen.

At The Alliance, we have navigated a variety of challenges, including budget cuts and a changing cultural landscape. This has tested us, but also highlighted the core of who we are and why we do this work. We have remained firmly anchored in our mission and values, with strengthened resolve to lead with equity and to create spaces for all voices.

This year also brought significant internal growth. We made strides in formalizing our internal processes and expanding our Quality Assurance work. These improvements allow us to be more responsive, intentional and accountable to the communities we serve, and to the stakeholders who place their trust in us.

Our teams continued to bring innovation to their programs, developing and refining content that supports foundational learning across audiences. These efforts reflect our belief in partnership and equity at every level, as they were all highly collaborative processes engaging technical SMEs and learner perspectives.

As we look to the year ahead, we are excited to continue building on this foundation. Our priorities include:

  1. Strategic Planning: We will embark on a comprehensive strategic planning process to ensure that our work remains aligned with both the needs of the communities we serve and the evolving landscape of child welfare.
  2. Launching Core Trainings: The launch of our core trainings will provide critical resources to further strengthen the capacity of those who care for and work with children and families throughout the state.
  3. Partnership: As DCYF continues to evolve, we are committed to maintaining a positive, solution-focused relationship, ensuring we continue to support our shared mission with flexibility and purpose.

None of this would be possible without the trust and support of our partners and learners. Your collaboration is integral to our work, and I remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated community of changemakers.
