Lisa was born and raised in Moxee, WA, a small town east of Yakima but very well known on the world stage for the famous hops to make beer! She graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Administration of Leisure Services and Minor in Sociology. She started her career as a Juvenile Probation Counselor in Benton-Franklin and Yakima County for the first 8 years. In both jobs, she held positions that had overlapping responsibilities and much interaction with DCFS. When her husband was transferred to Seattle in 1990, she began her career with DCFS.
Lisa had 28 years of experience with DCYF and has been in program management and/or supervision for 20 years. She has been a supervisor in many program areas: ARS, CPT, Intake, CHET, Court Unit, Placement, FVS, and CFWS. Her most recent supervision experience is as a CFWS Supervisor since 2011, and most recently with the Tacoma Office since July 2015.
