Lisa Sinnett, MA

Foundational Learning Administrator

Lisa began her professional social services career in 2000 in Whatcom County at the Birch Bay House, a Crisis Residential Center for At-Risk Youth.  In this position she assisted in developing both the program being offered to the residents and families as well as the training program for staff. She then moved back to Kitsap County and was employed by Compassionate Care, a Child Placing Agency, and provided BRS Case Management to their licensed foster homes.  While working for Compassionate Care she was also able to engage with families in the community to provide Family Reconciliation Counseling and early intervention in hopes of assisting local families with At-Risk teens to avoid out of home placement and further intervention.

In 2006, Lisa began working for the State of Washington at the Department of Social and Health Services-Children’s Administration.  She began as a non-permanent (CPS) investigator in the Tacoma Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) office.  In December 2006, Lisa transferred into a permanent (CPS) Investigator position in the Bremerton DCFS office.   After approximately 2 ½ years, Lisa moved into the Court Service Specialist position in the Bremerton office and then into a Child and Family Welfare Services (CFWS) position.  In 2013, Lisa was promoted to supervisor.  In this role she was able to supervise workers performing CFWS, Courtesy Supervision and briefly supervised CPS Investigations.

Lisa earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology in 2009 from Saint Martin’s University and her bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology from Western Washington University in 1999.
