Gracia Hahn, MSW
Development and Facilitation Specialist
Gracia began her journey in social work while completing her Bachelor of Social Welfare degree through University of Washington, Tacoma. Gracia completed her BSW degree at UWT in 2006. Gracia went on to complete her Master of Social Work degree through the University of Washington’s Advanced Standing program in 2010. Gracia was also a CWTAP student.
Gracia worked for a private child placing agency in Tacoma for several years before taking a position with Children’s Administration. Gracia worked in various capacities within Children’s Administration, including both Division of Child and Family Services, including Child and Family Welfare Services, Aggravated Circumstances Social Worker, Rate Assessment, Adoptions and later Division of Licensed Resources where she completed Unified Home Studies and supervised a Foster Care Licensing unit.
Gracia joined the Alliance in 2014 as a Coach, training workforce on best practice, policies and procedures to ensure workers had the skill set needed to support the children and families served by Children’s Administration. In October 2015, Gracia transitioned to the position of Child Welfare Trainer. It has been a long-standing passion for Gracia to provide the support and the tools necessary for caregivers to meet the needs of children in out-of-home care. She is a strong believer that the more educated and supported the caregiver community is, the longer they will be able to provide the level of quality care these children need to move through a challenging season of their lives.
