Development and Facilitation Specialist

Emily Knickerbocker is a Development and Facilitation Specialist at The Alliance. She has responsibility for designing, developing and delivering curriculum and trainings materials/resources for caregivers and workforce in child welfare located throughout the state.

She began her career in social work as a WISe Care Coordinator, then transitioned to the Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) focusing on Child Welfare and safety. Emily has always had a focus on helping children, which stemmed from a young age supporting the children and families at her local church and interning at the local rescue mission with the children’s summer program teaching a variety of ages.

Emily has her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Washington Tacoma, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. While receiving her masters, Emily was a part of the Child Welfare Training Advancement Program (CWTAP), which set her up for success to work with DCYF.
