Destiny Dunbar is the Foundational Learning Training Coordinator at The Alliance.  She coordinates the scheduling and logistics primarily for Workforce Core cohorts and supports facilitators to successfully deliver in-person trainings. 

Prior to joining The Alliance, she worked in environmental advocacy as a Community Engagement Specialist, served on the board of the Whatcom Peace and Justice Center, and spent several years as a childcare provider. Together, these experiences have given her a holistic understanding of what family support can look like at the individual and systems levels. She hopes to use her coordination skills to advance learning opportunities that equip social workers to better support families. She envisions a world in which children and their caregivers are sustained by strong social and public networks.

Destiny graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy and a minor in Disaster Risk Reduction. When not working, she can be found in the dance studio, in the mountains, or by a body of water.
