Deshanna Brown

Deshanna holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a focus in juvenile justice. She has spent the past decade working in youth services and supporting families in various roles and capacities such as being a visit supervisor, Foster Care Specialist, and is a volunteer court Appointed Child Advocate. Deshanna joined Alliance CaRES in 2021 working as a mentor and is excited to continue her work with Alliance CaRES in this new role.

Deshanna’s passion for working with children and families in foster care comes from her personal lived experience and drive to help every child find permanency. She loves helping families find the resources they need to help a child in their home thrive and helping foster parents and kinship caregivers navigate the world of foster care. 

When she is not working. Deshanna can be found exploring the beautiful PNW, and supporting live theater and the arts.
