Instructional Designer

Brooke Chester is an instructional designer with a background in science and education. Her experience draws from work in higher education, training, and eLearning development, where she has supported both students and professionals in a variety of learning environments. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and education and her master’s degree in special education, along with a graduate certificate in Instructional Design, and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning at Boise State University.

At the Alliance, Brooke designs accessible, engaging training that translates complex policies into practical, real-world learning. Before joining the Alliance, she worked in higher education as a microbiology lab manager and adjunct instructor. In these roles, she trained students and lab staff, developed instructional materials, and supported diverse learners in both academic and applied settings. These experiences shaped her approach to creating thoughtful, learner-centered training.

Brooke enjoys working at the Alliance because of the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work and to collaborate with a dedicated team. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, bird watching, and exploring creative projects.
