Aaron Jacobsen is a learning and development professional with 10 years of experience spread across instructional design, training, coaching, teaching, and developing learning experiences for adults and youth in a wide variety of modalities. He earned his BA in English Education from Brigham Young University – Idaho and his MS in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL) from Boise State University with an emphasis in eLearning.
Before joining the Alliance, Aaron contracted with Google where he designed and developed Data Center courses from start to finish. He helped lead a standardized approach for in-person training and hybrid courses. He focuses on standardizing and streamlining the development of eLearning to consistently deliver quality courses on time. He has also spent time working with childcare training provider Bertelsen Education, the Illinois Property Assessment Institute, the Idaho Humane Society, and the OPWL department at Boise State.
Aaron coaches his local high school swim team (Lindbergh High School) for about half of the year. He has been coaching for the last 5 years and really enjoys it! When not working or coaching, Aaron likes to play video games with his kids, longboard, hike, swim, and play D&D with friends.
